Netflix has just released a brand new 2022 adaptation of Jane Austen Persuasion starring Dakota Johnson (Anne Elliot), Cosmo Jarvis (Captain Frederick Wentworth) and Henry Golding (William Elliot).

Persuasion is a romantic drama of regret, longing and second chances. Eight years ago, when Frederick Wentworth was poor, Anne Elliot was persuaded to reject his marriage proposal. When they finally meet again, Wentworth is now a rich captain. But when Anne’s sister-in-law, Louisa, shows a romantic interest in him, with whom he seems smitten, she fears she has lost him forever.
