Quinns Bookshop Bio
Quinns Bookshop was founded in 1981 and was originally on the high street in the beautiful historic town of Market Harborough. The bookshop has since moved down the little alleyway between Joules Clothing and Andrew Granger Estate Agents. We are tucked away, but once you find us you’ll want to keep coming back!
Upstairs we have our partner business, Willen Games, selling a range of tabletop wargames alongside hobby supplies including brushes, paints, static grass tufts and basing materials, all at highly competitive prices.
Our team is small but mighty, with a range of reading tastes, working together to bring you a carefully curated selection of books for all ages, as well as mugs, stationery, art materials, cards and jigsaws.
Why is it more important than ever for readers to support indie bookshops across the UK and Ireland?
Because independent book shops aren’t just about selling books; they create a sense of community and provide a place where people can feel safe and be wholly themselves. They provide variety, uniqueness and a sense of identity on local high streets. Also, as booksellers, we get to know and befriend our customers in a way that is special to local, independent businesses. That sense of camaraderie and compassion are increasingly important in today’s world.
