RNIB Bookshare UK

RNIB Bookshare UK education collection opens the world of reading for learners with print disabilities. With more than 600,000 accessible books from around 900 publishers and imprints, the online service enables learners who cannot access standard print, including those with dyslexia and who are blind or partially sighted, to read the same books as their peers, giving them the same educational opportunities.

Sweet Cherry are proud to partner with RNIB Bookshare UK to deliver our children’s books in an accessible format to readers of different abilities.

You can browse the list of Sweet Cherry books available on the RNIB Bookshare here.

Resources from early learning to further and higher education are included, as well as reading for leisure. Titles new and old in a variety of electronic formats allow learners to read in numerous ways.

  • Dolphin EasyReader is our accessible reading app that allows someone to read a title in any format, easily and consistently with independence.
  • Read electronically with text-to-speech software, digital braille readers and displays and in audio.
  • Downloading to modify into physical braille and large print.

Titles are made available under the Copyright and Rights in Performances (Disability) Regulations 2014 which allows individuals and educational establishments to use an accessible version of the title they need as long as they have legal access to the original work.

Signing up for membership to RNIB Bookshare is free for educational organisations supporting learners with a print disability in the UK.
Learners can then be added to organisational memberships.
