That’s One Merry Cherry… Children’s Publisher Announces First Christmas Book!

Sweet Cherry Publishing, Leicester’s award-winning children’s publisher, has announced its first ever original Christmas title!

Ho Ho Ho! A Pirate’s Christmas for Me is a beautiful picture book that introduces children to a touching retelling of everyone’s favourite festive story. From young pirate twins to estranged adults, Nic and Kris Beard embark on a journey of self-discovery, magic and Christmas.

Written by mum-turned-author Red and filled with striking illustrations by Jack Button, Ho Ho Ho! not only keeps readers entertained, but also stimulates the imagination of even the most reluctant readers.

When asked about this exciting release, author Red said: “Well, my dad was a twin, so he was my initial inspiration. I also wanted to write a story that could solve the age-old question asked by children… ‘how can Santa be in two places at once?’ It’s a made-by-mum Christmas story with a twist, one that has humour, character and purpose but still gives you a warm, cosy cuddle at the end!”

It’s never too early to share positive themes with children, and this picture book does just that. Touching upon themes of acceptance and generosity, it’s sure to be loved by parents and infants alike for years to come.

The Sweet Cherry team are just as thrilled for their first original Christmas title.
