Sweet Cherry Publishing is an independent children’s book publisher based in Leicester. We are a small team with a big mission! We believe that all children should have access to great stories and endeavour to break down the barriers which often get in the way of reading. We are proud of our Leicester heritage and work very closely with the local community to increase literacy rates and promote reading for pleasure. We’re looking for a Midlands-based artist, illustrator, graphic designer, student or anyone with a hidden creative talent to design our company Christmas card this year. The theme is ‘The Gift of Reading’ so we’re looking for something Christmassy, bookish and wintery and there’s no limit for artistic style.

The specifications for the illustration are as follows:

– Width: 105mm, Height: 148mm (please make sure to add a 5mm bleed)

– 300dpi

– CMYK

Entrants must reside or study in the Midlands, UK (Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Rutland, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Hertfordshire, and Worcestershire). Entries should be sent via email attachment to [email protected]. The subject line of your email must contain “Christmas Card Competition”. The attachment must be a JPEG or PDF. Please ensure the email with your entry includes your name and address so we can send the winner a copy of the card!
