Venessa is the winner of The People’s Book Prize for Children’s Literature 2021.
Venessa is a qualified primary school teacher with over twenty years classroom experience, most recently as an assistant headteacher with the responsibility for English and raising the attainment of reading across the school. Venessa enjoys visiting schools and libraries, sharing her words and richly diverse characters with children.
